PlatinumGames NEO-CLASSIC arcade series blends the fun and spirit of gaming from the past with contemporary technology. One of the first projects includes Sol Cresta. Sol Cresta takes the docking and formation techniques of the old-fashioned shooting titles Moon Cresta and Terra Cresta and elevates them with it’s “free-form docking” method. The flagship Yamato is comprised of three ships Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susano are able to utilize different types of attack determined by the manner in which three of the ships are placed. Splitting, docking and reorganizing the vessels as required is crucial for defeating the massive armies of Mandler.
